A mosaic of elements that inspire us

JOSÉ MUJICA.

The ex-Uruguayan president talks about humankind and politics with a perpespective we wish all politicians shared. A short interview, taken from the movie Human by Yann Arthus-Bertrand (a touching masterpiece in itself), that is well worth watching.

CONRAD ROSET.

This Catalan artist never ceases to impress me. His gorgeous lines give life to powerful figures representing mostly women.

From colorful explosions to monochromatic sobriety, his talent and vision are definitely worth checking out.

THANI MARA.

This incredibly talented illustrator combines different techniques to create her very own personal universe. It is impossible not to stare at her drawings and wonder how she manages give life to her ideas. Her stricking work is definitely worth the detour.

NON VIOLENT

COMMUNICATION

- Marshall B. Rosenberg -

As cheesy as the title may sound, this has been an eye-opening read. With simple examples on the magic of sincere communication and the the ability to perceive and understand the needs of others, Rosenberg's publication is a precious key to breaking the walls of modern-day individualism.

THE POWER OF NOW

THE LOVER'S

DICTIONARY

- David Levithan -

A light-hearted compilation of intimate moments in the heart of a couple's life. Full of humor, sensitivity and inconvenient truths this book demonstrates the harsh yet pure reality of love and its ever changing atmosphere.

SEBASTIAO SALGADO.

On one of our first dates, Jonny and I went to see Sebastiao Salgado's latest movie "The Salt of the Earth". Needless to say we had a whole world to discuss after the monochromatic journey that the 71 year old Brazilian photographer took us on. Over 40 years of work around the globe showing humans in their purest states, joy, sorrow, rage, death, peace...This colorful portrait of human condition is often uncomfortable to watch and some describe it as fetishism, but despite of how you choose to receive it, The Salt of the Earth is a wonderful testimony of Salgado's life-long love for nature and the human race.

Everybody's Free (To Wear Sunscreen) - Baz Luhrmann
00:00 / 00:00

An essay by Mary Schmich, giving various pieces of advice on how to live a happier life and avoid common frustrations. Turned into a song by Baz Luhrmann in '99, it was never an actual commencement speech - though it very well deserved to be...

Author, thinker and enthusiast.

After entering Mark's blog and reading his articles, you won't be able to just leave and forget it happened. This is one of the best blog's I've come across on personal development. His ideas are clear, funny, well researched and make sense. He will hurt your sensibility with all the fu*** he uses while writing, but if you are able to get over it, you'll learn about yourself and others in less time that you need to finish a beer.

What If Money Were No Object?
by Alan Watts
What If Money Were No Object? - Alan Watts
00:00 / 00:00

What do you desire? What makes you itch? What sort of a situation would you like? Let's suppose, I do this often in vocational guidance of students, they come to me and say, well, we're getting out of college and we have the faintest idea what we want to do. So I always ask the question, what would you like to do if money were no object? How would you really enjoy spending your life?

"The only way to deal with an unfree world is to become so absolutely free that your very existence is an act of rebellion."

- Albert Camus -
